Much to the approval of Dr. Henry Jones Jr., publisher Mighty Boards have announced “It Belongs in a Museum!” an upcoming expansion to the 1 - 4 player game Excavation Earth designed by author Dávid Turczi. Featuring illustrations by talented artist Philipp Kruse, this latest expansion to the game of celestial market manipulation and artifact scavenging introduces several new layers to the base game including a new sideboard and alien races.

“The alien races have opened up an interstellar museum in the earth’s orbit. It Belongs in a Museum opens up the exhibit action, which allows players to send select artifacts they excavate to the museum, rather than selling them off at markets. This opens up new ways of interacting and competing with other players, along with a variety of new ways of scoring.

Mysterious artefacts are a new type of artefact added to the game. Mysterious artefacts can only be excavated from new locations that are added to the map. Send these mysterious artifacts to the mothership for analysis and you will be rewarded with the all new technology cards. These grant you new abilities that you can use during the game, along with extra points!

The Zu clones are also in on the action! They are rushing to excavate mysterious artifacts and populate the museum with their finds as much as you are. The solo game integrates the modules in the new expansion, giving you new strategies to explore and challenges to overcome.” - description by the publisher

The Excavation Earth: It Belongs in a Museum! expansion is launching on Kickstarter August 3rd.
