John Company, the game of power struggle during the dawn of the British Empire, is getting a second edition courtesy of publisher Wehrlegig Games. Created by the award-winning designer Cole Wehrle of Root and Pax Pamir fame, John Company sees 1 – 6 players take on the roles of ambitious families trying to use the aforementioned trading house for their own personal gain in an effort to gain reputation and prestige. Rather than being a simple reprint, the second edition of John Company is a complete overhaul of the entire game ranging from new and improved graphical assets to a more streamlined event system. Further adding to this impressive list of improvements is a brand new solo mode designed by none other than Richard Wilkins aka Ricky Royal! The solo mode Wilkins’ designed for Pax Pamir is widely regarded by many to be one of the finest around so having him bringing his knowledge to the second edition of John Company is certainly promising.

At the time of writing the Kickstarter campaign for the second edition of John Company has 17 days left, with an estimated delivery date in March of 2022.
